The Transcript Analysis data set includes the results of a pilot study, where pdf transcripts of interviews with jazz musicians were parsed for names of jazz artists. A connection was made between the two musicians using the property foaf:knows.
Our current Linked Jazz Name Directory consists of 8,725 unique names of jazz musicians as N-Triples. This directory is the result of the highly automated process of name mapping and the later human-driven curation of the name directory.
